Yikes! I need help and wonder if this diet is for me. My normal weight is 138. I run and train for marathons on a regular basis having just completed 3 half marathons the last 7 weeks. Unfortunaltely, since turning 60, no matter WHAT I do the pounds have been creeping up and my race times have slowed considerably with this extra weight. I spent the last 2 weeks eating one VERY low carb (salad) meal a day and juicing with my vita-mixer and actually failed to loose a single pound!!! I now weight a solid 150. I also have started sleeping a solid and sound 9 hours a night. I fear my metabolism is shot! What do you think about this diet for someone like me?

Well you are only looking to lose 12 pounds it seems? That’s not a lot of weight and this diet is usually for people who need to lose about 20+. But did a shorter round to lose about 8 pounds that were left over from my first round so you should be OK if you really want to lose it. Just make sure you know that you can’t train for a marathon while on the diet. You are on a low calorie diet and won’t have enough calories to exercise so much. So take a break for a couple weeks and get the weight handled first. It works.

Hello,
My current weight is 132, I used to wiegh 112. I have tried a lot diet and exercise plans but I have gotten no results. I have been reading a lot about the HCG diet and I really seem to like it. I just want to know if this diet is right for me. I am getting married in March, I would like to lose atleast 15 pounds before this special occassion. Please give me some tips on this diet and please tell me how long should I use this diet to lose 15 pounds. Thank you!

Just about everyone says “nothing has ever worked for me”. That’s because most of what’s out there doesn’t work. This does though IF you follow the directions exactly. And for 15 pounds it will take about 3 weeks if you follow the diet correctly. You can do it sooner but 3 weeks will absolutely get it off.
